About Our Optometry Practice in St. Charles
Around here, eye care has always been about people. For more than 40 years, families throughout St. Charles have trusted The Optical Shop for personalized care and the kind of relationships that keep generations coming back. Today, Michael E. Weigle, O.D., is proud to continue that tradition, caring for neighbors, families, and familiar faces.
An Eye Care Practice Built on Relationships
Some of our favorite moments happen when a familiar face walks through the door. Even better is when they're introducing us to the next generation of their family.
For decades, we've had the privilege of caring for children as they grow, helping parents keep up with their eye health, and supporting grandparents as their vision needs change. Those relationships are what have shaped The Optical Shop into the practice it is today.
We believe great eye care starts with getting to know the person sitting in the exam chair. That means listening to your concerns, answering your questions, and helping you feel comfortable every time you visit for an eye exam.
More Than 40 Years of Caring for St. Charles, MO
The Optical Shop has been part of the St. Charles community for more than four decades, building its reputation one patient at a time. Long before online reviews and social media, families shared their experiences with friends, neighbors, and coworkers, and those personal recommendations helped our practice grow.
Today, we're proud to continue that legacy under the care of Dr. Weigle. While eye care technology and treatment options have continued to evolve over the years, one thing has remained the same: treating every patient with the time, respect, and personal attention they deserve.
Meet Sandy: Our Office Manager and Optician
With 40 years of experience as an Office Manager and Optician, Sandy has dedicated her career to helping patients see their very best while also finding eyewear that makes them look and feel their best.
What she loves most about her work is seeing the difference a new pair of glasses or contact lenses can make. She enjoys helping patients discover how much better they can see—and how great they can look—with the right eyewear.
For Sandy, the practice is more than just a workplace. The staff and patients have become like family. Over the past four decades, she has had the privilege of building lasting relationships with patients and watching generations of families come through the office.
Her years in eye care have given her a true passion for helping people, creating meaningful connections, and ensuring every patient feels welcome and cared for. She considers it a blessing to have spent 40 years doing what she loves.
